Simply put,
the word 'faith' means to trust what you believe in, but may not
be able to prove. Jesus explained that for our Christian
faith to be able to accomplish great things, it need only
be the size of a mustard seed. We have a tendancy to mystify the
application of our Christian faith and this is very much counter
productive to the Gospel message.
There
seem to be many misconceptions about our Christian
faith today and this, I can only conclude, must stem largely
from unanswered prayer, people trying to 'move the hand of
God'. So how well do you know God, to know His will, or have
His favour in the situation?
Our Christian
faith is not magic. Therefore we may conclude that a faith
induced healing, for example, is NOT a magic trick. I know that
sounds pretty basic, maybe even a little condescending, but how
often do we treat it like that? Jesus is more than willing to
help anyone who is prepared to listen intently for the voice of
God.
